The ‘Low Staked Stool’ is our interpretation of an 18th-century American form, drawing inspiration from the humble low stools once found in early homes. Existing outside of mainstream furniture styles for centuries, this enduring design is now enjoying a well-deserved revival.

Constructed with octagonal leg components and traditional round mortise-and-tenon joinery, the stool’s boldly splayed legs create a sense of quiet strength and subtle drama.

The underside of the seat is finished in traditional milk paint — shown here in Sea Green — with customers able to select a colour of their choice to suit their space.
