‘Kiku’ Record Stand

Originally designed for a Bristol-based client as an heirloom piece, this cabinet was created to store and play the clients record collection.

Crafted from British-grown brown oak and ash, each tree was felled within ten miles of our Bristol workshop. The interplay between the deep, rich tones of the oak and the lighter ash creates a striking and balanced contrast.

With the timber placed firmly at the centre of the design, a range of traditional textures were explored — from the chip-carved drawer fronts to the woven ash laths. The result is a celebration of the trees that grow around us in the UK today, demonstrating how varied techniques and thoughtful craftsmanship can come together to create a truly unique piece of solid timber furniture.
